The Peacemaker Called Donald Trump'


Has Donald Trump kept his promise of preventing war?

During the 2024 US campaign, asides from other promises, said that he will end the wars around the world. He made the statement in his election night victory speech in November 2024.

"I'm not going to start war. I'm going to stop wars",he said.

"We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars that we end - and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into ".

In 2026, Donald Trump has bombed Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Venezuela and Somalia.

In 2025, Donald Trump designated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern, citing the killing of christians in Northern Nigeria. In December of the same year, Donald Trump ordered airstrikes against the Islamic militants in northwest Nigeria.

In 2026, a US and Israeli military operation against Iran almost blew into a full-scale war. This was against Trump's promise to avoid wars.

Donald Trump promised to end the Ukrainian war. Unfortunately, the war has lingered even with his diplomatic approach.

Israel has continued its bombardment of Gaza despite the clamouring from the international community.

 Donald Trump launched a military operation against Iran, killing the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamanei. Thousands of deaths have been recorded including children. There are also signs of ailments which might be caused by smoke from missiles. This war might spread across the middleast as missiles have been thrown in Lebanon.

In the face of the global crisis, America has become a country of scrutiny. Donald Trump, who posed as the peacemaker and only solution to the global problems in 2024,has turned into warmonger;one who is to be avoided. North Korea's supreme leader, Kim Jong In, reiterated his resolve to acquire nuclear weapons, citing America's recent invasion of sovereign countries as his reason.

Unkempt campaign promises have always been ascribed to African politicians. They are known as people who make promises only to get into office to fail their subjects.

However, the world can agree that Donald Trump falls into this category of people. Donald Trump gathered American's votes by positioning himself as a peacemaker. Unfortunately, blood has been spilled on the streets of nations because of a man who promised peace.

African leaders are always called out for every misdeed, every corrupt practice and every failed campaign promise. I think Trump is just like every African leader; mischievous and corrupt. He should be called out for going contrary to his campaign promises.

TRUMP'S AMERICA AND TINUBU'S NIGERIA

Every country has its own weaknesses and problems. It all depends on how the government of the country handles it. In late 2025, US congressmen, French Hill(Republican- Arkansas) and Tom Suozzi (Democrat- New York) led a bipartisan letter to the US secretary of state, asking for the immediate designation of Nigeria as a "Country of Particular Concern", citing Nigeria's security situation and the government's inability to protect religious communities and groups and attacks on the christian community in the Northern Nigeria. The new definition of feminism; the extinction of man. From ancient times, women have always fought for their rights. Therefore, feminism is not a new concept. From the colonial era down to this age, there has been a continuous call for equal opportunities to both genders. This doesn't mean that feminism started during the colonial era in Africa.
